Virtual Feature Fiction

VFF schedule

We aim to publish a minimum of 2 pieces on the 7th and/or the 21st of each month. Submissions are open, please send us your work following the guidelines below.

Submissions Guidelines

  • Email submissions to virtualzine.sub@gmail.com, the subject line should start with VFF followed by the title of your work. For example VFF - Moby Dick


  • The word count should not exceed 1500 words title included. We accept prose in any genre, and on any subject.


  • Please add a short bio in 3rd person (no more than 50 words) and a link to your personal website or social media handle.


  • Paste the submissions into the body of an email. No attachments, please. All submissions (including pieces sent by our editorial team) are read blind.


  • Please submit only one piece per month. It has to be unpublished, in English and solely your own work. Translation of other authors' work is not acceptable.


  • Simultaneous submissions are allowed but please let us know immediately if your work has been accepted for publication elsewhere. 


  • Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer any payment for work we publish but we are hoping to change that in the future.


  • If you are submitting creative nonfiction, please fact-check carefully and/or provide a web link to verify sources where possible. Send a disclaimer with your piece to clarify any creative liberties taken.


  • Virtual Zine Mag holds no responsibility for any dispute raised regarding the content of your creative nonfiction, so consider the repercussions of writing about others and seek permission or anonymise where appropriate.


  • No racism, sexism, homophobia, sexual violence or religious hatred.


         PLEASE FOLLOW GUIDELINES OTHERWISE YOU SUBMISSION MAY GET REJECTED

Copyright will remain with the writer but by submitting to Virtual Zine you are granting us the non-exclusive right to publish your work online at VirtualZineMag.com and use it for promotional material.

Declined Work

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer feedback on pieces not selected for publication.

Please remember that most rejections are due to personal taste and not because of the quality of your work.

We will attempt to reply to all submissions within a week but this may take longer in busy periods. Please follow up on your submission if you haven’t heard from us within 4 weeks.
